CHILDISH POLITICS & HELD AT RANSOME by Gerry Sikazwe

Unweaned pranks
Played by stony hearts
With insatiable crave
For power
Spoken in words
'Sugar-clothed'
And 'mint-spined'
Yet;
Deception
Poisonous
Crude and rude,
Staking the future
At the fattening
Of a few proud
Childish gluttony
HELD AT RANSOME
Political slavery
Is the new order
Of life
Here, were we
Worship a system
Erected from
Steel lies and
Concrete crookedness
Blood baths
Poverty
And doom its roof
Here were
Power and greed
Are our rulers.
