Like chickens running to food thrown at them,
So is the running of the country's affairs
A great country humbled by recession
Affected all round by inflation
With rulers so crooked they can't measure
standards of right and wrong
and can't rule a line
between good and bad
They are Military rulers returning in agbadas
Bringing more oppressive agendas
Making loud promises,
with great fallacies
What is the difference between their promises and the rooster's greetings?
For those who should speak up, chicken out of the country
In search of a land of bounty
We like chicks left to fend,
We turn to themselves,
and struggle to keep alive
Yes, the common man must survive!
