SHATTERED;
Giving myself away
This mess was not birth in a day
I was whole like a candle light
Burning away every single night
Giving myself to everyone
Never did I matter to anyone
What I wanted was love
Affection and to be cherished
What they wanted was my service
They took it from thrusting
And I mistook it for trusting
I wasn't the only candle
Waiting to be waxed
Rightly was I replaced
No one paid me back in my coin
